2023-2024 Family Summer Reading

We look forward to a strong 2023-2024 school year!
 
Last year, we read The Read Aloud Family. If you haven't had an opportunity to read it, it is a quick and approachable text about why reading aloud is vital to children's success.
 
This year, we will be reading Study is Hard Work. School administration will lead a discussion with families after the school year returns about the text. Did you or your child ever wonder how some students seemed to make great grades without effort? This book gives easy study tips that aren't always innate. Since the pandemic, our teachers have seen that a lot of students have forgotten the skills needed for classroom success. This book reminds us that good classroom study habits are vital to maximize time and create healthy habits. I look forward to discussing this text with you when we return in August! (Discussion date to be annouced soon.)

2023-24 K-5 School Supplies List (Click Here)
 
2023-2024 6-12 Classroom School Supplies Lists will be available during Upper Meet the Teacher. The list provided at meet the teacher will have supplies will stay with your child (they will not be dropped off at school but for student use and will be kept at home, in lockers, or in backpacks as needed for class).
 
Please bring the following community school supplies to Meet the Teacher. These supplies will stay at the school:
 
Grade 6-12 General Upper School Supplies:
- 3 pack of Clorox Wipes (75 sheets per container minimum)
- 4 pack of facial tissue
- 1 ream of copy paper
- 2 packs of lined 3x5 index cards
 
In addition to the General Upper School Supplies:
Grade 6: Paper Towels (2 - 3 pack)
Grade 7: 5 packs of college ruled notebook paper
Grade 8*: Gallon Size Zip Lock Bags, with zipper slide closure
Grade 9*: 24 ct. Pencils (to be left at school)
Grade 10*: 4 pk Expo Markers, black
Grade 11*: 4 pk Expo Markers, colored
Grade 12*: Quart Size Zip Lock Bags, with zipper slide closure
 
*Note*
In 8th grade and on, math classes will require a TI-84 Plus calculator. This is an expensive item, please keep an eye out for sales. They are rarely re-sold and they are also used for college math after graduation.
